Senior global travel leader joins Kintela’s partner ranks

Kintela Group, a communications and live experiences firm specialising in business travel, has announced that Chris Crowley has joined as a Partner.

Chris brings more than 25 years of senior commercial leadership across managed travel, hospitality and hotel technology. His career spans global sales leadership roles at BCD Travel and executive responsibility at Duetto, alongside advisory work with Nina & Pinta.

Chris will work at the intersection of business travel, travel technology and hospitality. He will advise technology, travel and business leaders on commercial transformation, network optimisation, investment and revenue growth, working directly with leadership teams to support business performance and long-term development.

Kintela’s managing partner Martin Ferguson said: “Chris has operated at senior levels across managed travel, hotels and technology. He has led large global teams, carried significant commercial accountability and delivered sustained revenue growth.

“He understands how this industry works at scale and how strategy translates into performance. His experience in hotel technology adds further depth to our work as distribution, revenue strategy and managed travel continue to converge.”

Chris will work alongside Kintela’s partner team and wider network of senior collaborators to support clients across strategy, growth and market positioning.

He said: “I have been watching Kintela closely over the past year. The calibre of the partners, the strength of the network and the quality of thinking stood out. The firm has built something distinctive in a short space of time.

“The partner-led model means clients work directly with people who have operated at senior level. That is compelling. For me, this is an opportunity to contribute to something focused, credible and commercially serious.”

Chris joined Duetto in 2021 as Senior Vice President of Sales and later became Chief Revenue Officer. During that period, he led global go-to-market sales, revenue operations and marketing. Working alongside CEO David Woolenberg and the executive team, he helped grow annual recurring revenue from $20 million in 2021 to $75 million by the time the company was sold to GrowthCurve Capital in 2024.

Prior to Duetto, Chris held senior global leadership roles at BCD Travel, one of the world’s largest travel management companies. He led Global Sales across EMEA and APAC and oversaw the EMEA Global Client Team, including responsibility for Siemens, the company’s largest account at the time. His remit covered approximately 30 percent of the company’s total business.

He later served as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions, EMEA at HRS Group, with commercial and operational oversight across the region, including global and regional customer engagement in hotel sourcing, payments, meetings and data. Chris also worked as a consultant with Nina & Pinta, advising travel and hotel technology clients on commercial strategy and growth.

During in career, Chris has served as President of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), was a board member of the Institute of Travel Management and sat on the Commercial Board for HSMAI Asia Pacific.
